About Me

Peter Van Eeckhoutte

Peter has worked at a European food company for almost 2 decades, assuming various ICT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity roles. He has evolved from operational roles, over a regional Management position, to finally serving as the Global IST Infrastructure Director & Corporate Information Security Officer. 

During his career, Peter has been managing several large infrastructure projects.  He was responsible for the design of network & system topologies, and implemented security solutions for the entire company.  Additionally, he built and implemented the IT Disaster Recovery plan. He authored the Information Security program, implemented Risk Management and developed & implemented Policies, Procedures and Processes.  

Peter spent significant time coaching IT Infrastructure managers and guided the company through significant transformational IT projects.  He designed and implemented various ITIL processes and was instrumental at improving the overall maturity level.

Peter left the company late 2018, and started Corelan Consulting in 2019.


Since 2010, Peter has trained hundreds of people from private & public companies, government & military organizations and cybersecurity enthusiasts.

Peter is an active and well-respected member of the international cybersecurity community. He has written numerous blog posts & released infosec research for free on www.corelan.be.  He has contributed to various open-source projects (including the Metasploit project) and published a number of free tools & utilities. His research and tools have been quoted in various books & publications.

Peter enjoys cooking & fine dining.  He loves to travel, to read and is intrigued by photograpy and chess.
